Starting at the end of November, the annual Merano Christmas markets are just 15-minutes by car from the Apple Hotel Torgglerhof and are not to be missed! The numerous tastefully decorated traditional stalls showcase a rich variety of high-quality local products. Experience the magical atmosphere of the most highly anticipated annual festivity in a classical fairy tale atmosphere.

For the tiniest visitors, there’s nothing better than pay a visit to the "petting zoo", where there are as many soft toy animals to stroke as they would like. There’s also skating on the temporary outdoor ice rink set up in Thermenplatz square. There are a number of performances staged by traditional choirs and musicians, or you can listen to a traditional Christmas tale. Many of the events and celebrations staged in Sandplatz square are inspired by the local customs and legends, thus reviving some of the old traditions and promoting local arts and crafts.
